The SEO Manager is responsible for coordinating and implementing SEO strategies for clients. They work closely to create and drive client search strategies with Account Services. This individual must be goal oriented, possess exceptional attention to detail, and have outstanding interpersonal skills. This is a role that is interacting with clients as well as working closely with the company team to make sure that the goals of the client are achieved.





Day-to-Day Duties

  • Develop, execute and manage ongoing SEO campaigns for clients

  • Help create, improve and follow processes for SEO

  • Foster SEO campaigns from conception to implementation

  • Ensure SEO best practices are utilized

  • Perform keyword research in coordination with client objective to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities

  • Provide SEO analysis and recommendations

  • Development of standards to be used for consulting clients in SEO

  • Ensure department remains up to date with work products (daily work, content/conversion pages, pricing templates and SEO)

  • Recruiting, hiring, development and retention of team

  • Ongoing training of staff

  • Development of positive departmental culture that aligns with Company’s values

  • Foster open communications between departments

  • Training of all staff in SEO

  • Seek educational/developmental opportunities for staff

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Minimum 5 years experience in SEO, preferably in an agency setting

  • Expert level Google Analytics knowledge

  • Ability to communicate to both technical and non technical team members and clients in a clear and concise way

  • Experience in Adwords highly desired

  • Experience in social media and content marketing is a plus

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information

  • Ability to give, accept and learn from constructive criticism

  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines (possibly working late hours and/or weekends as needed)
