OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

The Account Supervisor (AS) is responsible for growth, development and performance of teams that handle the day-to-day administration of digital marketing and/or traditional advertising initiatives for our Clients. This individual works with other members of the DOM team in executing the day-to-day administration of digital and/or traditional marketing and advertising initiatives for the Agency’s clients. They are responsible for ensuring proper coordination and collaboration with other teams within the Company and with our clients. They will be proficient in all areas of marketing. The AS will facilitate internal communications between Account Services and Creative Services through weekly meetings and daily situations. The AS works closely with all associates and participates in regular Client communications to maintain relationships, ensuring client retention.  It is the objective of the AS to support and build each team in the digital and/or traditional advertising fields who then can support their clients’ advertising strategies and initiatives. The next logical path for an Account Supervisor is a Group Account Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Responsible for overall performance of the Account Services teams assigned

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, coaching and mentoring Account Services staff

  • Responsible for employee reviews, development plans and ongoing growth

  • Deliver the Agency’s Mission of making extraordinary things happen for our clients and their customers and our people across multiple brand assignments

  • Accountable for high-level relations with all clients, including overall client satisfaction and management of expectations, while ensuring the work is completed on strategy, on time and within budget

  • Collaborate with VP and/or Director in hires, training, leading, developing and supporting ACs, AEs, SAEs in the development of marketing strategies and needs for our clients, ensuring employee development and retention

  • Coordinate efforts between Account Services and all other departments

  • Ensure all Company policies and procedures are followed; both DOM and client

  • Maintain positive working relationships with production and creative staff

  • Understand each Client’s business

  • Anticipate Client needs, keeping the Agency in the position of leading rather than following

  • Thoroughly understand the production process and always be continuously improving

  • Thoroughly understand compliance/legal/disclaimers and ensure the teams adhere to them with all work

  • High level of competency in Digital Media (SEM, SEO, CRM, Social, Reputation), traditional media and creative (area of focus based on office location)

  • Participate & manage the client launch process

  • Ensure all clients are properly billed, and that invoices are paid timely

  • Responsible to travel for client meetings or industry events

  • Identify opportunities for programs and initiatives that are innovative and have potential to drive results

  • Value based selling

  • Other duties as assigned

General Client/Account Support

  • Participate in weekly status calls/meetings.

  • Monitor clients’ business & define goals and metrics with team to ensure strategy and metrics are successful, including; web and media unit analytics, search performance, social platform performance and traditional media when applicable.

  • Provide leadership to the internal team. See that all team members have the “big picture” on assigned projects.

  • Encourage and motivate all members of the team.

  • Provide day-to-day supervision of any assigned personnel, guiding workflow, ensuring compliance with Agency policy and fulfilling client requirements.

  • Meet with Client to discuss historical plans, current needs, current media situation and trends, upcoming opportunities and events, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent relevant experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing agency, leading a team

  • Digital, traditional and automotive experience required

  • Thorough understanding of interactive media and development, including graphic design, user experience, content strategy and development and programming technologies

  • Client focused with a strong sense of detail and urgency

  • Must be Google Adwords, Google Analytics and Bing Certified

  • Proven communication proficiency, both verbally and written, with people at all levels of an organization

  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Google Drive and other third-party software packages

  • Prior sales experience (preferred)
